Can only be approached via a short walk along the cliff path. (about 20 minutes) There are two other coves quite close by making the three of them a popular destination.
Also a popular destination for the flotilla of little boats that go up and down the estuary.
This is a lovely spot to sunbathe, for the bucket and spade brigade or just to relax and watch the many boating activities on the water. It is quite a large area backed by sand dunes.
The estuary has strong currents when the tide is running and is therefore not recommended for swimming.
It is also a popular spot for a bit of shore fishing, probably the best of the three coves and it does get some surf as it is more open to the mouth of the estuary, common species include, bass, Pollack and flounder.
