LOCATION

In this extremely beautiful region of Cornwall enjoy a peaceful holiday in a traditional Cornish farmhouse forming part of a working farm. Set in beautiful countryside (Daphne Du Maurier country) close to the popular fishing Port of Fowey. This spacious old farmhouse with a large sheltered garden is just five minute walk along a quiet footpath from the secluded sandy beach of Polridmouth. The path then continues along the coast to Fowey - Polkerris and beyond....

ACCOMMODATION

The farmhouse has 3 large bedrooms, 2 with en-suite facilities (Bathroom/Shower).  The Dining room has Tea/Coffee/Microwave facilities available. There is a private lounge with T.V. A Full English breakfast is served. 

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Exhilarating coastal walks, local sandy beaches, excellent selection of pubs and restaurants. Within a short drive there are many famous gardens - The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Caerhayes, Trewithen to name but a few.  There are picturesque fishing ports at Mevagissey and Fowey where boat and fishing trips can be enjoyed. Local golf courses, river walks at Lerryn, Golant and the ancient Stannary Town of Lostwithiel are nearby. A Touring Base Although situated in a quiet secluded location it is within easy reach of both coasts, with both Falmouth and Newquay easily accessible. Bodmin Moor is approximately 6 miles distant, with its rivers and lakes and unique landscape.

Cornwall All Year A perception is that the county closes when summer is gone - this is wrong! - no county is more alive than Cornwall! The milder climate of Cornwall ensures good walking days and delightful flora and fauna most of the year. The annual Gardens Festival at the end of March to the end of May is outstanding, and not forgetting the very popular Daphine Du Maurier festival which is also in May. Many attractions stay open. "Church crawling" opportunities (John Betjeman's favorite pastime) are always there. The winter/spring seascapes are dramatic, whilst on the sunny days beaches are buzzing with children exploring, surfers conquering the waves, and walkers walking. Cornwall has it all come and see for yourself.

DIRECTIONS

Follow the A390 from Plymouth, pass Lostwithiel & St.Blazey Gate.

1 mile east of St.Bl;azey Gate at a large roundabout turn left towards Par.

Go through Par and follow the signs for Fowey

The beach will be on the right hand side

Just after the beach there is a steep hill, half way up turn right towards Polkerris

Keep straight on, Menabilly is sign posted from here

Turn into the Menabilly road and the farm is at the end of the road.
