We are situated in the village of Longrock, on the south coast of West Penwith. We are on the coast road, between Penzance and Marazion, approx 1 mile from each.
The hotel is ideally situated to explore west cornwall, with easy access to St Michaels Mount, St Ives & Lands End
There are a number of easily accessible golf courses, sea and coarse fishing venues, and we are 100 yards from the south west coastal path.
The local scuba diving centre is a short drive away, and, nature lovers will find the nearby r.s.p.b. reserve at marazion marshes well worth a visit.
The Mount View, is a detached Victorian hotel, built in 1894.
It is a family run public house with accommodation , situated approx 100 yards from the Mounts Bay beach, which runs between Penzance and Marazion.
There is an extensive menu including vegetarian choices. The bar offers a good selection of wine, beer and spirits.
There are colour televisions and tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms.
There are five letting rooms, three are en-suite, and two are standard rooms with hot & cold running water.
Dogs are welcome but they must be well behaved, and sociable with other dogs, and people.
Mountview Hotel is a short drive from the picturesque town of Penzance and a short walk from a long sandy beach which affords excellent safe bathing. The popular St. Michael's Mount is also just a short distance along the beach.
Penzance provides excellent shopping facilities, a wide choice of restaurants, pubs, tea rooms and interesting places to visit. It is also a jumping off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly, the local ferry is easily accessible.
The whole Lizard peninsula with its many coves and beaches is within a short drive.
Lands End, St. Ives and the cathedral city of Truro are only a short drive and well worth a visit.
