LOCATION
Established in 1983, this family run fully modernised guest house is situated on the outskirts of the old mining village of St. Day, and overlooks the, once rich, tin mining area of United Downs. The Cottage is set in three quarters of an acre of ground, has ample off-road Parking, a large secluded garden, and is central for Touring Mid and West Cornwall.
ACCOMMODATION
The Accommodation offers good old-fashioned hospitality, comfortable surroundings, and good food. This is a non-smoking residence, with comfortable and attractively decorated bedrooms, and separate table dining room. There are two double bedrooms both with en-suite facilities plus a twin bedroom. All rooms have built-in vanity units with hot and cold water, these are supplemented with a large bathroom with toilet and shower cubical.
Tea and coffee facilities are in all the rooms, or served on request in the sun lounge or garden.
For guests relaxation there is a spacious sun lounge with television and a selection of board games.
Light Refreshments are also available during the day, served in the Sun Lounge or Garden
Full central heating throughout.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Close to the City of Truro, with its famous Cathedral, and excellent shopping facilities. Also convenient for Redruth, Camborne and Falmouth. Gardens at Trebah, Glendurgan, Trellisick and Helligan. Easy access to beaches on North and South coast. Close to resorts of St. Ives, Penzance and Newquay. Beautiful Country Walks throughout this famous mining area. St Day Town Trail (Guide leaflet giving history of the town, and showing places of interest). Bissoe Tramways Cycle Trail. (Cycle path from Portreath to Devoran. Cycle hire available). Selection of Golf Courses, and Driving Ranges. Gwennap Pit, where John Wesley preached. Leisure Centres and Swimming Pools. Local Riding School. Tourist information packs provided.
