Directions:

Take the A38 from Plymouth & stay on this road until you reach a set of traffic lights in a village called Dobwalls. At this point the road forks; take the left turn onto the A390 marked St Austell. Follow the A390 for about 6 miles to the small town of Lostwithiel. Travel through the town & up the steep hill. Once you reach the top of the hill, take the next B road on the left, after about half a mile. This is the B3269, marked Fowey. Follow the B3269 to the ourskirts of Fowey (about 5 miles), where you will come to a roundabout. Turn Left at the roundabout, marked Ferry, Bodinnick, Looe. (Do not go straight on or you will come into the narrow town streets). Once you have turned left, follow the road down the hill where it becomes a narrow lane (take care in the narrow sections). Follow the lane until you pass the entrance to the Docks and then you will see Chuffers on the corner. There is a pay & display car park right opposite.

Locally
Fowey is an extremely popular town being situated, as its name suggests on the River Fowey. It attracts numerous visitors from all over the world, many of whom return on a regular basis.
It is also a favourite among the sailing fraternity, its sheltered deep water creeks offer excellent moorings.
The town itself offers a wide range of services with many speciality shops, pubs and restaurants.
Good walks can be enjoyed to the mouth of the estuary with views across the river to Polruan. A foot passenger ferry is available from the harbour to Polruan where walks through creekside woodlands or along steep cliff paths are very popular.
Also available from the harbour is a foot passenger ferry to Mevagissey, well worth the trip just for the sea journey.
The apartments are close to the vehicle ferry across the river, views of this can be seen from the windows. Once across the river the whole of the Looe, Polperro and Polruan coastline is immediately accessible.
For those visitors with small boats, a slipway into the river is available in the adjoining car park
Boat hire is available Locally, explore all the little inlets around Polruan, Golant and all the way to Lostwithiel, this is a holiday on its own.

Within a short drive:
Good sandy beaches at Polkerris, Par and many little coves that are well worth searching out.
Eden Project , recently voted the 3rd most popular attraction in the country.
St Austell town with good shopping and major supermarkets
Par market, one of the biggest markets in the country, open Wednesday's and weekends.
Lost Gardens of Heligan

Charlestown tall ships
The working fishing village of Mevagissey either by sea or car.

Surfing beaches on the North coast are only a 40 minute drive.
