Eastaway Manor Cottages
Bude
We offer a choice of two cottages which are found either side of Eastaway Manor and are set in five acres of grounds, delightfully situated in beautiful Cornish countryside near Coombe Valley.
The amenities available include croquet lawn, small putting area, pool table room and coarse fishing pond (which is well stocked).
We are one mile from the beach at Stanbury Mouth, whilst Sandymouth and Duckpool beaches are a little to the south of us. We are just six miles from Bude.
There are very good riding stables nearby, and for the fisherman there is fly fishing in the Upper Tamar Lake at Kilkhampton. Surfing can be enjoyed from the local beaches, as can sea fishing. There are many lovely walks over the surrounding countryside and along the clifftop Cornish Coastal Path: a haven for those who enjoy walking in peace and solitude, with wonderful views at every turn.
All prices are inclusive of all electricity, heating, hot water and VAT. There is ample room for Parking outside each cottage.
Eastaway Cottage (sleeps 4)
Eastaway Cottage has great character. It has a fully-equipped
farmhouse kitchen and a delightful lounge. Upstairs are two
double bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with twin beds.
Tiled bathroom/toilet.
This cottage has a porch and its own secluded garden with garden
table and chairs. It also has a fridge-freezer, washing machine,
colour television, night storage heaters and electric fire.
NB: All bed linen
is supplied, but please bring your own towels and tea-towels.
Secret Garden Cottage (sleeps 2)
Secret
Garden Cottage is a ground floor cottage with great character.
One double bedded room, cosy lounge and kitchen. Tiled
bathroom/toilet.
This cottage has its own small secluded garden with garden table and chairs. It also has a colour television, microwave, refrigerator, night storage heaters and electric fire. NB: All bed linen is supplied, but please bring your own towels and tea-towels

Locally Widemouth Bay is a world famous surfing beach which is patrolled by Life Guards during he summer. It is a paradise for children with a beautiful stretch of golden sand and interesting rock pools at low tide. There are surfboards and deck chairs for hire. High above the beach a viewing point on Penhalt Cliff offers memorable views up the rugged coast towards Hartland Point. Bude is approximately 3 miles distant and was once described by Sir John Betjeman as "the least rowdy modern seaside resort in Cornwall". This still applies. There are enjoyable walks along the cliffs and along the canal banks and for the more energetic, squash, putting, table tennis, horse riding, fishing and surfing etc. All are available close at hand. For people who enjoy sightseeing: Tintagel, Boscastle, Clovelly, Port Isaac etc. are all within easy reach, as are the North Devon market towns. Cornwall's latest attraction, the Eden Project, is just an hour's drive. |
