The Jolly Sailor Inn is one of the oldest Inns in the country. Affectionately known as �the Jolly�, by the locals.
It has been a place of rest and recreation for seafarers and travellers since 1516.
Until about 120 years ago, sea vessels used to moor right alongside the original building, but this sea inlet was reclaimed and allowed for adjoining cottages to the Inn to be built.
It is now just a stones throw away from the harbour and a comfortable flat walk to the town centre and beach.

All bedrooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated and furnished in keeping with the character and age of the building.
All rooms have a television and complementary refreshment tray. 
Guests have access to rooms at all times.
There are no facilities for pets
Smoking is not permitted in the bedrooms
Sorry - no children under 8 years.
Meals are taken in the restaurant area of the Inn. A full English breakfast is served with alternatives available on request.

Directions
On entering Looe on the B3253 follow the road over the river. At the end of the bridge turn left. Follow the road with the river on your left for a short distance, you will see Princes Square on your right, the Jolly Sailor can clearly be seen.

The Jolly Sailor is situated on West Looe quay, just a short distance from all that this popular south coast resort has to offer.
In the immediate vicinity pleasant walks can be enjoyed along the harbour front where many interesting fishing and leisure boats are moored.
Shark/deep sea or just fishing from the harbour wall is readily available.
A pleasant flat walk into the town with a large variety of shops, restaurants, tea rooms, art galleries and of course the beach.
There are excellent walks including a lovely walk to picturesque Polperro and a native trail along the river through woods.

Within a short drive
Plymouth City - theatre, boat trips and excellent shopping.
Eden Project 40 minutes
Many National Trust and private gardens including Lanhydrock House and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
There is an excellent tourist information centre in the town with brochures to suite every taste.

Wessex Cottage:

Adjacent to the Jolly Sailor lie two cottages, the first floor of which has been converted into a two bedroomed flat, one double and one twin, both are en-suite.
The conversion is to a very high standard with a luxury kitchen. The rustic style of the flat complements �The Jolly� and is very popular with our visitors.
