Long walks along local headlands, Dodman Point taking in Vault Beach is recommended.
St Austell town is just 10 minutes away. Good shopping, leisure centre with swimming pool, multi screen cinema, etc.

Touring
Mevagissey is about a 10 minute drive from St Austell which is regarded as probably the best touring base in Cornwall. Virtually anywhere can be reached within an hours drive.
If you are short of ideas there is a tourist information office just a few steps from the cottage with a wide selection of literature
