Local attractions:

Walking at Tregaddra
We can now provide our guests with detailed route maps and information on several types of walk from the dramatic Lizard Coastline, lush wooded valleys and wild open moorland.
Many walking books, O.I.S. maps and guide books are available for you to use.
Once returning to the farmhouse, boot airing, storage and drying facilities are available. We can also provide pack lunches (upon arrangement), flask filling and early breakfast.
We also welcome walking groups.

Fresh air and Brisk walk
The Lizard is Britain's most southerly point! This unique part of Cornwall cannot be "explored" in a day or a week or a life time. It is a renewing, on going experience.
The southwest coastal path winds its way around the peninsula providing exceptionally beautiful walks. The peninsula is full of contrast - flat grassy paths wind along the cliff tops of Mullion Cove, the breath taking views of Kynance Cove, along to the dramatic cliffs of the Lizard point, while to the east, the softer, greener landscape of the Helford river provides another face of the is beautiful region.

Cycling
Bring your own bikes or we can arrange  cycle hire at preferable rates from a local shop "Cycle Logic". We provide carefully planned routes, sharing our local knowledge of the Lizard's hidden corners, for you to experience the beautiful and varied scenery via country lanes and tracks. More officially designated cycle paths such as the Carn Brea  route, mineral tramways trail and the Camel Trail are now opening up in Cornwall, information is available on these. Storage and drying facilities available.

Golf
We have detailed information on several courses in our area. Arrangements can be made for green fee reductions for Tregaddra guests and we can book teeing off times in advance. Cornwall has over 30 golf courses to choose from, only Scotland has more golf courses per head of population! Storage and drying facilities are available as well as early breakfasts, pack lunches and flask filling. Mullion golf club is just 3 miles from Tregaddra, situated between two beautiful coves on the cliffs. Mullion golf course offers a warm welcome and a great days golf, although doom in the form of a double-bogey is always lurking!

The Lizard
Things To Do Around the Lizard

The Lizard Peninsula naturally has a lot in common with the rest of Cornwall: Celtic history and culture; a seafaring heritage; a network of small communities, almost surrounded by sea. But it also stands alone, in a very real sense, from the rest of the county. In a line from London to Lands End, the backbone of Cornwall is a route to somewhere. The Lizard is not a crossroads, it is not a junction or a passing place. It is a journeys end, a special place to visit that is literally "off the beaten track". The Peninsula, looking on the map, almost physically separate from the mainland, presents a rugged face to the elements, standing proud in the sea.
Contrast this with the fact that it is the warmest place in the country. The air is crisp, clean and clear, unpolluted by an industry. Criss-crossed with intimate little country lanes, wild open spaces, and unexpected natural delights around every corner, the Lizard is like a cosy castle on three sides: dramatic cliffs and rough coastline protecting a warm, soft interior against a sometimes raging sea. (To be fair there are a few lovely sandy beaches and some pretty good surfing). It is rich with history too, with an abundance of colourful local stories adding that extra dimension to each place you visit.

Tregaddra farm is located approximately 6 miles from Helston on the Lizard Peninsula in the south-west of Cornwall
