Trerosewill Farmhouse.  The house built to the highest standards on a 50 acre working farm is now well established and extremely popular with visitors.
The farm commands unsurpassed views of the coastline, northwards to Hartland Point and Lundy Island and south-west to Tintagel and The Rumps.
The village of Boscastle below offers a fascinating panorama of churches, farmland, houses and animals grazing.
There is a badger set on the land, ideal for nature lovers.  Spring time and Autumn are perhaps the best seasons for enjoying the wonderful wildlife that abounds on the cliffs, in the woods and in the air.

Six spacious bedrooms all en-suite consisting of three doubles, one twin, one large family and one small family.  One bedroom is on the ground floor and suitable for guests with walking difficulties.  All rooms have either a sea or rural view, provided with colour television, clock radio alarm, hairdryer, beverage tray (with biscuits), mineral water, toiletries and bath robes.  Ironing board and trouser press are available.
A baby and granny sitting service can be arranged.
The farm has a fire certificate throughout.
The proprietors are continually being complimented on their tasty food, every endeavour is made to use fresh local produce.

 All rooms are furnished to excellent high standards and inspected to English Tourist Board Authoritative Awards.
Packed lunches are available on request at nominal charge.  Special diets are catered for.

Boscastle itself is a step back in time, mostly unspoilt with cottages and tiny lanes full of interest.  So often a holiday destination has one main road, one route and few alternative routes.  Not so in Boscastle.  There are many places to explore, it would take a week to discover just half.  Just a short stroll away is the 16^th century Napoleon Inn and from there it�s an �Old World� walk to the village.
The churches of Forrabury, St. Juliot�s, Lesnewth and Minster all have a unique attraction.  The Valency Valley links the latter three and is delightful, especially in springtime with a mass of daffodils.
The cliff walks via Pentargon waterfall take you higher towards Crackington Haven.  High Cliff is the highest in Cornwall at 735 ft. and can be seen from Trerosewill.  There are also fine views of the Bristol Channel and Lundy Island. 

Around North Cornwall

Bodmin � The County Town of Cornwall.  Once the administrative centre for the County, stacked full of historic buildings.  Nearby is Lanhydrock one of the  National Trust�s finest grand houses with a wonderful garden running alongside the River Fowey. 

Bodmin Moor � A countryman�s paradise, totally unspoilt, rolling moors, bewitching at any time of the year with solid granite villages such as St. Breward, Blisland and Altarnun perched above the surrounding countryside.  Superb for wildlife and walks. 

Tintagel � Famouse for its island castle there is also the National Trust owned �Old Post Office�.  Perched on the cliffs is the 12^th century St. Materiana�s church.  Also worth a look is the King Arthur�s Hall and fossil  and stones museum. 

Polzeath � Wonderful surfing beach with all the facilities from surfing lessons to board hire.  Superb cliff walks and estuary views. 

Bude � One of the districts premier resorts.  Bude has tremendous beaches ideal for surfing.  A canal for more sedate water sports and a fine shopping centre.

Steve�s Great-Grandfather, William Nicholls (on the left standing) and Joe Bath (on the right) were out fishing in 1906.  A gale blew up and they were unable to get back to Boscastle.  Almost sinking, they were rescued by the Bude Ketch, �The President Garfield�, and landed at Pembrokeshire, South Wales.  Captain Martin, who rescued them, was presented with this Walnut barometer and clock in recognition of his gallantry, at Boscastle Harbour.

This photograph is the only one known to be in existence of the Boscastle Pattern Guernsey.  Each Cornish Fishing Village had it�s own distinct pattern/s so that bodies washed up on the shore could be traced back to their home port.
