The legend of King Arthur and the ruined castle attracts visitors of all nationalities throughout the year.

Other historic buildings include, The Old Post Office, St. Materianas Church, King Arthurs Hall of Chivalry and the Chapel of Our Lady of Fontevrault.

Tintagel is an ideal base to explore the wild cliffs and tiny hamlets.  The late Poet Laureate, Sir John Betjeman, said, This salty sea coast parish is best seen out of season and on a stormy day.  He probably enjoyed the spectacular coves and rock formations, especially between Tregardock and Boscastle, probably the worlds finest coastline.

Popular local pastimes:

Surfing, riding, golf, tennis, fishing and scenic sea trips.  Many local pathways and walks make this a ramblers paradise.
