Accommodates 8 + 2 cots | 4.4 miles NW of Mevagissey |
The kitchen has a farmhouse atmosphere with a range-type cooker.
The second sitting-room provides plenty of space for all
generations.
The downstairs shower-room is very convenient after expeditions
to the beach.
|
The
Situation
Cosy and supremely comfortable, with two sitting-rooms, two
shower-rooms and a bathroom, lots of stripped pine doors and
beams all renovated to the highest standard, this detached house
makes an ideal base for family holidays.
|
The
Accommodation:
The large kitchen has a smart navy electric range cooker, light
oak cupboards, sunny yellow walls and bright blue wall tiles
with a terracotta floor, with exception of the bedrooms which
are fully carpetted.
The main sitting-room has a huge
inglenook complete with a wood-burner, digital (satellite)
television and a video, whilst there is another television in
the smaller sitting-room to provide sanctuary for a different
generation.
The dining-room was once the dairy and still has the
original pig-salting trough carved into the wall. French windows
from this room lead onto a patio-area with a wonderful view of
unspoilt open countryside.
There is an enclosed orchard, a
games-room close by for children to play, and a second holiday
cottage (under the same ownership) is your only neighbour.
The
house is set a quarter of a mile down a private road leading
from the A390 which links St Austell and Truro and thus provides
good access to the Eden Project,
The Lost Gardens of Heligan and
picturesque Charlestown harbour. Sandy beaches at Caerhays,
Porthpean and Pentewan are all within easy reach. Please note
the higher rent band applies from 30 June to 14 September.
