Historical Cornish Manor House and 1,000 acre Estate
leading down to the Helford river.

As you arrive, you'll realise this is a place like no other.

First class facilities in the unique setting of a Cornish Manor.

A thousand years of history have preceded you at Trelowarren, the home of the Vyvyan family who have lived here since 1427.

However, don't expect to be confronted with the imposing grandeur of a stately home ... although the historic manor is of great character. Instead you will be greeted with a warm welcome to a family run country estate.

Trelowarren is perfectly set on the eastern side of the Lizard peninsula, shielded from the wild moor, and opening into a valley of exceptional beauty. Within easy distance to all of the excellent local beaches and close to the banks of the Helford River.

Around the estate are woodland walks, and the Halliggye fogou; a series of strange Neolithic underground chambers the use of which is unknown and today the home of bats and spiders but mustn’t be missed for its sheer mystery.

Cottages which have been converted from existing estate buildings to the highest environmental standards, together with other refurbished secluded cottages are available for timeshare and self catering designed to enable you to enjoy Trelowarren and the hidden secrets of the Lizard Peninsula at your own pace.

And when you’ve finished exploring relax in the tranquillity of the old stable where pots of riotous flowers, climbing roses and clematis grow out of impossible places; there you’ll find the New Yard Restaurant which serves food of outstanding quality. The restaurant has earned a considerable reputation and whether it’s morning coffee, a light lunch or dinner, eating there is always a real treat.

Next door is Nic and Jackie Harrison’s working pottery and weaving studio displaying the best in local craftsmanship. Adjacent to the pottery is an exhibition by local artists forming LizardArt and across the yard is the permanent exhibition of the Cornwall Crafts Association.
