About Helston
A small town situated on the edge of the Lizard Peninsula. Much of the town is unspoilt with cobbled streets and narrow lanes.
It has a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants.
A visit to Helston must include pasties from 'Mothers' for the perfect Cornish lunch.
Arguably Helston is best known for its Spring festival, the Flora dance. This is held at the beginning of May and highlighted by a dance through the town.
Nearby beach: Praa Sands, a large sandy beach offering excellent bathing.
